Junior B Hockey League |

| The Chatham Maroons are a hockey team playing
in the Western Division of the Western
Junior B Hockey League. The team colors are maroon, white
and brown.
The team was founded in 1956 in Chatham, Ontario, and play
out of the Chatham Memorial Arena. Since their inception the
hockey team has changed its name several times, and switched
leagues. In 1956 they played in the Border Cities Junior B
League, where they stayed until 1964.
The Western Junior B Hockey League provided a bigger and
better challenge for the Chatham Maroons, and they
switched to join the stronger league. They became the Chatham
Maple City Fords in 1976, six years after the Western
Junior B Hockey League became the Southern Ontario Junior
A Hockey League, and left for a new version of the original
Western Junior League. The team changed names to the Chatham
MicMacs from 1988 to 1995, but then reverted back to the
original and present name.
