|  The
Conn Smythe Trophy recognizes the "most
valuable player to his team in the playoffs." The eventual
winner is voted on and selected by the Professional Hockey
Writers Association. It is not always presented to a
player on the winning team, and is awarded at the end of the
final game of the Stanley Cup Finals.
This trophy was presented in 1964 by Maple Leafs Gardens
Limited in honour of Conn Smythe. |
