Clarence S. Campbell Bowl

clarence s campbell trophyThe Clarence S. Campbell Bowl was presented to Clarence S. Campbell, the NHL President at the time, in1968. The Bowl is now currently given to the team that advances to the Stanley Cup Finals from the Western Conference.

It was originally made in 1878 in Britain, and is made of sterling silver.

The Clarence S. Campbell Bowl was originally awarded to the regular season champions in the West Division. This remained
the same until the 1973-74 season. From 1974 to 1980, the trophy was given to the regular season champions of the Campbell Conference. It switched to the playoff champions from 1981 until 1993. The current winner of the trophy, the Western Conference champions, have been receiving the trophy since 1994.
