| The most widely known professional hockey organization
in North America is most certainly the National Hockey
League (NHL). It is also considered the only major professional
hockey league in the world. |
| |
|
| Each year a televised awards banquet is held to recognize
and honour the players, coaches and teams for their efforts
during the season. The NHL awards are voted on by sports
writers, the NHL players association and NHL representatives. |
