Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League

The Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League is brand new, founded and playing its first games in 2006. This hockey league consists of 7 teams which compete in southern Ontario, Canada at the Tier II Junior "A" level. There are also plans of expanding for the 2007-2008 season to 10 teams. The Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League and Hockey Canada have no relation, as the GMHL is sanctioned by the National Junior Hockey Alliance.
