Hockey

Hockey, more specifically ice hockey is played by countries all over the world. In many cases, if there is snow in the country, there is some form of hockey played there. In its most simple form, a game of hockey consists of two teams trying to score on each other by putting a circular puck into the opposite net or goal, where a goalie (goalkeeper, netminder, etc.) is trying to stop the goal.

The NHL is the most widely known and accepted professional hockey league in the world. Most star players from around the world end up playing for one of the NHL's 30 teams.
