Largemouth Bass

Description: The Largemouth Bass is native to North America, and is part of the sunfish family. As it's namesake suggests, the mouth of this Bass is large, extending beyond their eyes. These fish are dark grey in colour, and have darker patches of colour running down the sides of their body. The Largemouth Bass is also the largest of the black basses.

 
Interesting Fact: The States of Mississippi and Georgia call the Largemouth Bass their State Fish.

Maximum Weight: 22 lbs (10 kg)
Lifespan: Up to 23 Years
