There are a few methods of catching fish with toxins.
Most toxins put into the water, paralyze the fish,
and cause them to float to the surface. In other cases, the
toxin may cause the oxygen to be removed from the water, suffocating
the fish.
In some areas of the world, illegal toxin
fishing takes place. Fishermen use cyanide
to stun the fish in the water. This also kills the majority
of the fish in the process. Human ailments have been attributed
to this.
