The use of explosives in fishing is also
referred to as blast fishing, or dynamite
fishing. In all, it refers to the use of explosives to kill
fish. The fish are killed by the blast shock and either float
to the top of the water, or sink to the bottom. The fish are
then collected all together. As you can imagine, there can
be a lot of collateral damage to surrounding wildlife, and
the environment. For this very reason, blast fishing
is illegal in most countries.
