A wobbler is used for catching larger
fish. The wobbler itself is much larger than a jig. When going
through the water, the wobbler actually 'wobbles'
due to its mouth dish.
Like most lures, the wobbler is made to
represent a fish swimming through the water. It's body can
either be one solid piece of wood or plastic, but is usually
split into two and attached. This enables the wobbler's ends
to move independantly of each other, simulating a fish swimming.
The head of the wobbler has a small semi-circle piece of metal,
called a mouth dish. This enables the wobbling motions. There
can be a maximum of three hooks per lure, and the wobbler
normally utilizes all of them.
