Dinghies are very small boats, which are
almost always less than ten feet in length. Because of their
size they can be transported in a pickup truck or ontop of
a car.
Dinghies can be powered in a couple of ways. Sometimes a
small outboard motor is affixed to the boat and used for propulsion.
Other times oars will be used to move the dinghie by human
power.
Dinghies are sometimes carried on a larger ship and used
to get ashore when the mother ship cannot venture that close
to shore. |
