These types of sailboats are always more than 22'
long. They are designed with living quarters onboard so that
a multiple day journey may be taken.
The sail configuration of these boats can vary greatly
based on the manufacturer and size of the boat. Some
Cruising Sailboats feature multiple masts and sails
while others do not.
Because of their size and long-range applications a diesel
engine is usually onboard for when the wind is not strong
enough to propel the sailboat along. In addition, desalinating
are usually on the boat as well to ensure a fresh supply of
