| Before you start stringing your bow, there are 3 essential
things your string must have. These are a knot and a timber
hitch at the bottom, and at the top, a loop. |
| |
| 1. Put the looped end over the top of your bow. It
is best to let it move down the top of the bow a few inches.
|
| |
| 2. Place the knot into the nock at the bottom. Tighten it
up. |
| |
| 3. The bowstringer's pouch should be over the bottom nock,
over the knot. Keep the bowstriger cord with the bowstring,
on the same side of the bow. |
| |
| 4. Put the bowstringer saddle over the bow's top. Keep
the saddle ears facing the bow handle. |
| |
| 5. Move the string's loop and the saddle (behind the loop)
to the bottom of the bow. (Make sure both of these are as close
to the bow's bottom as possible.) Make sure to grip them so
they don't slip. |
| |
| 6. With your free hand, keep the bow horizontal, holding it's
grip. Place your foot on the bowstring. Recap: Right
Hand - Holding Grip of Bow, Right Foot - Stepping of Bowstring,
Left Hand - Holding Saddle and Loop. |
| |
| 7. Pull the bow up. At one point, you will be able to let
go of the saddle, as the pressure will keep it from slipping.
With your left hand now free, slide the loop into the nock at
the end of the bow. |
