| Archers are allowed an assistant
in Flight Archery. Assistants will hold a 45
degree 'trisquare,' leveling to to be in line with the horizon
and the arrow itself. The assistant's job is to tell the archer
when his shot is lined up straight, or at the proper angle.
Many flight archers prefer to do everything on their own though.
Many flight archery tournaments will have assistants to aid
you, if you do not have your own. |

| When shooting for pure distance, the accepted angle to release
your arrow is 45 degrees. You will have to adjust based on wind
conditions. Shoot a tad higher if with the wind, and a bit lower
if against it. |
| |
| Remember, when your shot is measured, it is measured using
a line on the ground. This line does not bend to touch your
arrow. You must take into account all weather
conditions, and shoot your arrows accordingly. Getting this
down takes time, and patience, but when you can compensate for
wind, you will improve your shots drastically. |
