Science Fiction

Science Fiction, also known as Sci-Fi, is a type of fiction writing revolving around technology or science changing some aspect of our lives. A common theme in Sci-Fi books is an 'alternative reality'. Authors will create another world for their novels. For example, Star Trek and Star Wars novels create two versions of space in the future, and the past, respectively. Almost all science fiction relates to humans in one way or another. The stories speculate on issues affecting our lives, in situations that would not be possible without science or technology.
